English Letter Painting
In recent years, Chinese have learned much of the western culture and adapted English (Rome) alphabets. They used the alphabets for Pinyin (sound pronunciations) of the Chinese characters. Many Chinese artists began to paint English alphabet patterns. However this only began eight or ten years ago. The reason may have been after the reformation of China, near a decade ago, more and more foreign visitors came to China. The artists wanted to attract business, which began the painting of English alphabet pattern. I also started painting English alphabet pattern after I came to the US, as market demands for this new form of art.
The Situation of this profession is similar in China and the United States. In most famous travel hot spots in the US, there are various different artists that paint the English alphabet patterns. Twenty years ago when I first arrived in the United States, there were no one that painted this art form at the time. I was the first person who brought the color character painting method into the United States.
